Phenomenal Records is Philadelphia's top Urban Independent music store. We carry the best in Hip-Hop, R&B, Soul, Reggae, Classics and Gospel music. At Phenomenal we also provide top notch in-store appearances from the best Major Label recording artists. We are conveniently located in North Philadelphia directly on Temple University's main campus (corner of 15th St. & W. Cecil B. Moore Ave next door to City View Pizza).
PHENOMENAL STUDIOS
Phenomenal Records also has a fully functional recording studio on site. The studio is owned by veteran DJ/Producer/Engineer BEAR-ONE. Since 2006, Phenomenal Studios has been home to many independent and established artists. Equipped with the state of the art equipment including Pro Tools. HISTORY
Phenomenal Records opened in 2002 by owner Jay Lanky. Phenomenal quickly established itself as one of the top Independent Urban music stores in Philadelphia. Word spread around North Philly and Temple University about this new store that had the hottest music, DVD's & books. Soon, major record label reps took notice, and listening parties and other music functions became the norm at Phenomenal, including in-store appearances by the top major label recording artists in the country. Not one to only focus on the majors, Phenomenal has also hosted top freestyle and DJ battles with some of the best up-and-coming unsigned independent artists in the Philadelphia market.
